Johan Arrias is a Stockholm-based saxophonist and composer, born in Gothenburg and raised on the small island of Jurmo in the Åland archipelago as well as in Västergötland. He has been active for many years in the fields of improvised, experimental, and contemporary music, and more recently, in composing music and sound for films. He has released two solo albums, led his own groups, and contributed to over 20 releases—some of them on his own label, Ausculto Fonogram—and has toured internationally. He studied at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and is currently completing an MA in film music composition at the Royal College of Music/Stockholm University of the Arts.
