Lars Bröndum (PhD) is a composer and musician primarily within the field of experimental contemporary art/chamber music and is a professor of Music at the University of Skövde.
Bröndum performs music live as a live electronic musician but also composes for orchestra, ensembles and solo musicians. Lars often works with the interaction between acoustic and electronic instruments, and in his compositions, he explores the boundary between notated music and improvisation.
He often works on projects with other musicians and composers.
Sopran- och altsaxofon.
Till en början självlärd, studerade senare saxofon och musikteori. Samarbeten vid EMS, Elektronmusikstudion, i Stockholm, ca 1979-1982, som kombinerade Buchla synthesizer med blåsinstrument. Arbetade i olika studiojazz / improvisationsessioner i duo/trio/kvartett i mitten till slutet av 80-talet, under 90-talet och framåt mest små tillfälliga grupper och solosaxofonimprovisationer och inspelningar med bl.a Gärdin/Bröndum duo, The Aleatoric Ensemble och andra ensemble konfigurationer.
